  • Do customise your diet
We need to understand that one size does not fit all. There is no such thing as the perfect diet. You need to understand your body, the nutrients it requires, the carbs that you are allowed to have and the metabolism of your body. Therefore, you need to customise your diet.
  • DO NOT starve yourself
It is a widely believed misconception that starving would reduce weight and probably it will but it is not healthy. Losing weight is not the priority, being fit is. Eating in small portions throughout the day and eating clean would help.
  • Do stay consistent
Dieting for a week before a grand function is not the right way to go. It may help in short term, but affects adversely in long term. Consistency is important.
  • Do not kill your hunger
When you feel hungry, feed yourself. Do not try to kill it with water or something else. Give your body the food it needs.
  • Do stay hydrated
Consuming large amounts of water will help flush out the toxins from your body. Studies say, “for every 20kgs of your weight you should drink 1ltr of water in a day”.
  • Do not aim for rapid weight loss
Losing weight and inches, as important as it may be, that should not be the sole aim. Do not try to lose 10kgs in a month. It is harmful. Go for a healthy way to stay fit.
  • DO have breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Make sure you have your breakfast. You fast for more than 12 hours before breakfast. Therefore, to function properly, your body need high protein breakfast. Do not skip your breakfast.
  • Do not cheat
Cheat days may weaken your will power and may affect your entire diet program. Stay focused and have the will power to stay consistent. Do not cheat.

Stay healthy. Stay fit 🙂
