There are various ways to stay fit, one of which is working out at the gym. However, merely working out may not give you as many results as following certain tiny steps while working out may.

Here are a few tips to remember while working out.
- Keep yourself hydrated
The body loses water in the form of sweat while working out. Intense work outs may dehydrate your body. Remember to take a sip or two of water every now and then during your work out. Remember, the water must be at room temperature only.
- Form your own work out
No one knows your body better than you do. Work out doesn’t have to be mundane or boring. Understand your likes and dislikes and make sure your trainer forms up a workout schedule accordingly.
- Protein supplements
Intake of protein post work out helps your body absorb the nutrients it needs. Among other things, your blood flow improves, your heart stays healthier and lethargy is kicked out in an instant. If your workout is early in the morning, please make sure you do not work out on an empty stomach.
- Wear lose fit clothes
Tight fitting clothes restrict the flow of blood to the muscles that are being worked out. Therefore, make sure, the clothes that you wear fit lose and allow air to pass through.
- Warming up and Cooling down
Warm up before beginning the work out is extremely important. Warming up gradually prepares the body for the work out, loosens the joints and increases the blood flow to the muscles.
Cooling down after the workout is equally important as it relaxes the muscles and normalizes the heart rate.
- Realistic expectations
Setting small and achievable goals helps to keep one motivated throughout the duration of work out. Don’t talk yourself into setting unrealistic expectations. They will only lead to disappointment and may reduce your rate of performance.
- Right shoes
“With the right shoes, one can conquer the world”. Wear comfortable sports shoes to the work out. One sports shoe is said to have a life of 200 hours of work out. So do not use worn out or old shoes. They may cause shifting of weight abnormally and may also cause injuries. Thus, invest in a good pair and maintain them well.
- Shower after the workout
Sweat increases the rapid multiplication of bacteria because of which you may develop rashes or break outs. Thus, taking a shower after each work out is a must. Also, isn’t it relaxing?
- Improve eating habits
Just because you have begun working out, doesn’t mean, you can welcome those fries and cheese burgers with open arms. Staying fit and healthy is a way of life. Allow yourself a single indulgence for one meal in one week if you must but do not continue eating junk.
- Sleep Cycle
Have a regular and healthy sleep cycle in order to achieve maximum results out of your workout. It trains the body into a routine and thus, helps in leading a healthier life.
